If you are trying to make a video call on Skype and the camera icon is greyed out by that persons name I might have a fix!

This post is not going to look at troubleshooting your camera, or if you have a laptop with a built in camera already.
This fix is if your camera is working for other apps, not not for Skype

- First thing to do is click on the 3 dots in the top left of the screen then click on settings

2. Next click on Audio & Video

3. If you know your camera is working and Skype cannot see it, hopefully this fix will work for you.
Fix Skype Camera Not Working Windows 10
How to Skype Camera no Device Found
Total Time: 1 minute
Go to settings in Windows
Press the Windows button and then the letter I – this will bring you to the windows setting screen
Search for Camera Privacy Settings

Start privacy and the first one that should show up is Camera privacy settings – click on that
Ensure allow apps to access your camera is switched on

If it is blue and On – move to the next step, if it is not, just click it and it will go blue
Choose which Microsoft Store apps can acccess your camera

If you scroll down the list you will see all the Microsoft Store apps can access your camera. In my case Skype was not selected.
Click the button so it goes blue

Clicking the button will make it go blue and say on, this will allow Skype to see your camera.
Restart Skype and you should see your camera
Shut down Skype and then open it up again, you should now see the video camera is now available to select.
If not go into settings

Go back to the three dots at the top left of your screen, click on settings and then Audio & Video, you should now see your camera?
Hopefully your camera is now working and you can do Video Calls with Skype.
If it is not you will have to troubleshoot your camera. This fix is only if your camera is working for other apps but not for Skype.
