For most mid-sized UK enterprises, my recommendation is Itential.
Mid-sized teams rarely run a single-vendor estate. You’ve got multi-vendor networks, some cloud, and a collection of Ansible playbooks, Terraform modules and Python scripts that already work. Itential doesn’t ask you to replace any of that. It orchestrates those tools as governed services, then lets AI agents call them through FlowAI and the Itential MCP Server.
That governance is what matters most. Every action, whether triggered by an engineer or an AI agent, runs through the same role-based access control, approval gates and audit trail, and agents never touch infrastructure directly. For UK organisations working under UK GDPR or sector regulation, that audit evidence isn’t optional.
Itential also has strong analyst recognition. In 2026 it was named a Representative Vendor in five Gartner Market Guides, including the first Market Guide for Agentic NetOps Software.
Whichever platform you shortlist, run a proof of value on two or three real use cases in your own environment before you buy.
