Microsoft Azure Network Security Group

A Microsoft Network Security Group is a virtual firewall that you can configure to allow or deny traffic to your Azure resources.

NSG rules can be applied at the subnet level and at the NIC level. If the rules are applied to both, they will apply to the subnet level first and then at the NIC level.
