Upon high recommendation I purchased the Routing Bits Handbook for R&S from routing-bits.com
If you are unaware of this publication this Routing Bits Handbook Review will bring you up to speed.
Written by dual CCIE Ruhan Du Plessis to fill a gap in the market, this handbook is a concise collection of study notes aimed at the CCIE Lab exam, it also forms a brilliant reference for engineers to keep with them forever.
“The Routing-Bits Handbook is a one-of-a-kind technology reference guide which includes theory, configurations and troubleshooting methods to assist and aid the every day network engineer.”
Priced at $98 the material in this book is well worth the price tag. For me there are three great plus points for this handbook over any other Cisco book.
- It works great on the Ipad, you can navigate to any section from the main menu
- There are references to Cisco Doc-CD locations at the start of every topic
- Free updates – as Ruhan updates the handbook as a registered user you will get the free updates
I can see me using this handbook a lot! If you have 20 minutes on the train, at the dentist etc you can just dip into it to review a few commands for a technology.
Ruhan has also written a SP handbook. Testament to the quality of this resource is that Ruhan passed his R&S and SP CCIE on his first attempt.
If you want to see the book there is a sample chapter available on his site here Sample Book
I hope this Routing Bits Handbook Review has helped.
To see what others have to say check out the feedback page on Ruhans site. Most of these are from CCIE’s who have passed the Lab exam and who all dedicate the quality of this resource to their success.
